One more good puzzle.
A little more to discover.
Names for a market basket
Carrots, cabbages and leeks give this board the feel of a farm stand or kitchen garden. The fourteen targets use familiar food names, not botanical classifications. They offer a starting point for talking about what people grow, cook or buy locally. The list is intentionally shorter than a full guide to vegetables.
Scan rows and columns at your pace
The 14 × 14 grid contains forward horizontal and vertical words. No targets run backward or diagonally. Keep an eye on the complete spelling of BROCCOLI and distinguish the short PEA target from an accidental-looking letter sequence. The list remains visible online, and a found word is marked so you can choose another.
Try a food conversation after solving
Invite each player to choose a vegetable they enjoy, or name one they would like to try growing. The puzzle makes no nutrition claims and does not require a correct recipe answer. Fresh Fruit in the related collection offers a natural companion for a second round, while Garden Flowers changes from food to a decorative border.
Print one board or a class set
Letter and A4 downloads contain the same board and visible vegetable list. Keep the separate answer PDF for checking only when you need it. Personal use and classroom copying are free. For comfortable group solving, give each person a full-size sheet instead of shrinking several boards onto one page.
