One more good puzzle.
A little more to discover.
A baking vocabulary, without a recipe
Flour, butter and eggs suggest familiar preparations, while dough and batter describe different mixtures. This board brings together ingredients and things you might make or finish on a baking day. It does not specify quantities or promise that the listed ingredients belong in a single recipe. Choose a favorite bake as a conversation starter after the search.
Fourteen words in clear directions
Each target runs left to right or top to bottom in a 14 × 14 grid. The visible list lets you choose your next word. Try locating the repeated letters in BUTTER, or distinguish the start of CRUST from COOKIE before following a line. Select from the first letter to the last; finding the same word twice does not increase progress.
A companion for a kitchen-table break
Use the puzzle while planning a family baking afternoon, or solve it with someone who enjoys discussing favorite cakes and breads. There is no need to know a cooking technique to complete the board. The related Kitchen Tools puzzle shifts attention from ingredients to utensils when you would like a second search.
Prepare a paper copy for everyone
Download the Letter or A4 puzzle for a board with its complete word list. Keep the answer PDF for checking at the end, rather than placing it beside the unsolved sheet. Personal printing and teacher classroom copies are free. Print from the supplied PDF and check your printer preview for the selected paper size.
