One more good puzzle.
A little more to discover.
Meet the neighbors of a woodland walk
A woodland is more than the trees that define its outline. Animals use the ground, water's edge, trunks, branches, and hidden shelters in different ways. A woodpecker searches and nests around trees, while an otter is associated with waterways. Some of the animals on this board are active mainly at night; others are more likely to appear during daylight. The list draws from woodlands in different regions, rather than claiming that every species lives in one particular forest. That makes it a friendly vocabulary collection for remembering animals, talking about nature, or simply enjoying a familiar subject.
Large letters and a straightforward search
Fourteen animal names are placed in a fourteen by fourteen grid. This edition uses only left-to-right horizontal words and top-to-bottom vertical words. There are no backwards or diagonal placements to keep track of. The full list stays visible beside the board, and each found name is marked there as well as in the grid. Large print describes the presentation, not an assumption about your age or ability. Anyone who prefers clear letter shapes and a little more space can choose it. The whole board fits smaller screens, and focus mode keeps the board and play controls together.
Follow a name all the way to its end
Start with a short familiar name to learn the selection behavior. Click or tap its first letter, then its last letter; you can also drag along the run on a desktop. Make sure the final letter is included before completing a selection. Once you are comfortable, look for the longest names, because they provide distinctive sequences that are easier to distinguish from filler. If you see the same letter repeated nearby, use the visible list to check the spelling rather than guessing. Finding an already marked animal will not add another point, so the progress counter always reflects different completed targets.
Bring a clear copy to the table
The print button produces this same board and list, with navigation, advertisements, and the online timer removed. Letter and A4 paper are both supported; checking the printer's scale at one hundred percent helps preserve the intended letter size. You can use a pencil, circle complete names, and discuss an animal after finding it without racing against a clock. The answer view is available separately if a last name proves elusive. A garden-flower puzzle makes a natural next activity with a different theme and the same calm reading experience. Hard puzzles are also available when you would like more words and every direction enabled.
