Keep your flow
One more good puzzle.
A little more to discover.
Names for parts of a crossing
A bridge can be described through its supports, deck, materials and structural form. This vocabulary set includes parts such as a pier and abutment alongside terms such as arch and suspension. It does not imply that every bridge contains all of them. Use the subject to think about a familiar crossing before starting the search.
Inspect long words in both directions
There are 24 fixed targets in this 22 × 22 Hard grid. Paths may run backward or diagonally, and the target list is hidden online. Long words such as FOUNDATION offer useful sequences to check once an initial letter catches your eye. Short targets still require an exact match to the preset list.
Compare shapes after completing the board
Choose two bridges you know and describe a visible difference: an arch, a tower or a line of supports. The terms can help begin that conversation without turning the puzzle into an engineering assessment. It does not provide construction or safety instructions. Architecture in the related collection broadens the subject to buildings and design.
Use a separate checking sheet
Letter and A4 puzzle PDFs include all the words, so the printed edition supports a guided vocabulary exercise. Answers are available in separate files and mark the same frozen paths. Personal copies and classroom sets are free. Check the selected paper size in your viewer before printing the board and answer key.
