One more good puzzle.
A little more to discover.
Weather words beyond the forecast
Twenty-four terms from weather observations, clouds, instruments, and processes are hidden in this 22 by 22 grid. Weather watchers and science readers can recall possible names before searching because the online target list is hidden. Diagonal and backward placements are included. The grid uses DEWPOINT as one continuous target, displayed naturally as Dew point when a word label is shown.
Print a forecast-day activity
Choose the Letter or A4 puzzle PDF, save the download, and print it using the matching paper setting. The paper list provides all 24 spellings, so it works as a guided vocabulary search even on a clear day. Download the separate answer sheet to check paths after playing; neither print option changes the fixed cloud of letters.
Class sets without a fee
Teachers may print multiple copies for their classroom, and personal use is also free. Keep the source address on shared copies. Learners might compare the names they found with terms in a local forecast, draw a cloud shape beside the list, or discuss which instruments they have seen. Keep the pace relaxed so the conversation has room to develop.
Explore the wider natural setting
The four related puzzles connect weather vocabulary with other science and outdoor subjects. Earth Science keeps the challenging direction rules; Ocean Life explores a different set of natural subjects. NOAA's JetStream learning material is linked for readers who want to explore weather concepts after the search, without making its lessons a requirement for playing this edition.
