One more good puzzle.
A little more to discover.
Work behind everyday places
Who keeps a school, airport, workshop, or town running? This hard puzzle brings together 24 occupation names in a 22 by 22 grid for curious adults and older students. The online list stays hidden, so think about the people behind familiar services before testing a full spelling. Names can run backward or diagonally. A job you correctly remember will count only if it belongs to this edition.
Print a careers activity
Download the puzzle PDF in US Letter or A4, save it, then open the file to print. The paper sheet supplies all 24 names, making it useful for a careers discussion where recalling job titles is the starting point. Keep the separate answer PDF aside until everyone has had a turn. Both files use the same fixed letters as the online game.
Copies for your class
Personal use and classroom use are free. Teachers may print a batch for the whole class without requesting permission. Ask learners to choose one found occupation and describe a task it might involve; the word search itself does not assess career readiness or qualifications. Leave the source address on copies so another group can find this exact edition.
Follow the work into other subjects
Use the four related puzzles to connect occupations with practical settings. Cozy Hobbies turns from working life to leisure, while Family Connections explores everyday relationships. The background link to the Occupational Outlook Handbook offers occupation profiles for a separate research exercise about everyday tasks, tools, and working settings.
