Find 24 ocean life words in a fixed 22 by 22 grid. Hidden targets, reverse and diagonal paths.
Keep your flow
One more good puzzle.
A little more to discover.
A sea of familiar names
Explore 24 marine animal names in a fixed 22 by 22 grid. This edition is for ocean enthusiasts who enjoy recalling a word before finding it: targets are hidden online, with reverse and diagonal paths included. The list mixes familiar common names rather than scientific species names. Coral belongs here because corals are animals, even though a reef can look like an underwater garden.
Bring the ocean onto paper
Choose the Letter or A4 puzzle PDF, download it, and print the saved file at its intended size. All 24 targets appear beneath the paper grid, so groups can work from a shared list instead of guessing. Download the answer sheet separately for checking paths at the end; printing never generates a different sea of letters.
Share a marine-themed activity
This puzzle is free for personal and classroom use, and teachers may print enough copies for their class. A useful follow-up is to sort found names into groups such as mammals and animals with shells, then check uncertain choices using a trusted marine reference. The sheet is a vocabulary activity, not an identification guide for animals encountered in the water.
Keep exploring living things
The four same-topic links offer more ways to move between nature and science. Meteorology shifts the search from sea life to weather vocabulary; Earth Science keeps the harder search rules. The NOAA coral article in the background reading explains why coral is included among animals, without requiring you to recognize any particular coral species to play.
