A little more to discover.

A familiar household collection

A basket of clothing and linen supplies the setting for this fourteen-word search. SOCK, SHIRT and TOWEL name things to sort, while WASH, RINSE and FOLD name activities. The list is about everyday vocabulary, not a washing sequence or advice for a particular fabric. Care instructions belong on the item label, not in a word-search answer.

One word at a time

The target list stays visible beside a 14 × 14 board. All paths run forward across or down, with no backward or diagonal selections. Select both ends of a complete target and check the progress list before moving on. Large letters and a visible list make it possible to focus on following each straight line without remembering a hidden vocabulary set.

Sort the words after solving

Make two spoken groups: things you can hold, and actions you can do. A word may lead to a different grouping if someone explains their choice. For a second familiar household puzzle, try Kitchen Tools or Cozy Hobbies. There is no need to turn the timer into a race when sharing the board with another person.

Use the full-size paper sheet

Letter and A4 downloads each offer the puzzle and a separate answer. Choose matching files and print at actual size using the selected paper setting. The word list is printed with the board. Keep the answer away until needed; it follows exactly the same frozen letter arrangement as online play.
