Find 24 woodland tree names in a 22 × 22 Hard word search, with hidden online targets, reverse paths and printable Letter/A4 puzzle and answer sheets.

Keep your flow
One more good puzzle.
A little more to discover.
A collection of tree names
Oak, beech and birch may be familiar names, while others invite a closer look. The list mixes broad common names with a more specific name, FIELD MAPLE. It is not a claim that all twenty-four trees are native to, or grow together in, one woodland. A regional tree guide is the right companion when you want to identify a living tree.
Start with distinctive letter patterns
Twenty-four hidden targets occupy a 22 × 22 grid with diagonal and backward paths. Short names such as ASH and YEW require a complete straight selection just as the longer names do. FIELD MAPLE appears as FIELDMAPLE in the board. The print word list is available if you prefer to begin with named targets instead of discovering them online.
Build a small comparison notebook
After solving, choose two trees from the list and compare their leaves or needles using a suitable local guide. Record what the guide actually shows instead of guessing from the common name. Garden Flowers offers a different plant activity; Woodland Animals shifts the conversation from trees to animals without repeating this list.
Take one matching sheet outside the screen
Select the Letter or A4 puzzle file, and download the answer for the same size separately. The sheet includes the target list and permanent puzzle URL. Use actual size so the board does not shrink unnecessarily. A second download retains the same letters and paths, making it possible to compare answers with someone using the online version.
